I agree. My kids were already close. Covid made them even closer. Working from home most of the time is nice. I like the cough guard as well.

The biggest thing Covid eliminated was the sick person who came into work and infected everyone. Now, they have the decency to stay home.

One thing I was hoping Covid would eliminate is the number of people who still do NOT wash their hands in the washroom. Apparently splashing a few drops of water is known to kill all germs. Sigh

I'm pretty sure Biden pulled the plug on that one. Our prime minister is getting the gears from all sides about it.

Relative of mine spent the last five months of her life hooked up to a ventilator.

There were a lot of things in hindsight to look back on and say "well, that could have been done differently"...sure. I'll admit that.

However, to be so flippant about something thousands of people have suffered and died as the result of, it really shows the kind of character you have.

I happily wore a mask wherever I had to, but I did not get vaccinated and remain unvaccinated. I had covid twice, once in the early days and then once a bit later on, and knew how my body would react - i.e., not poorly.

Meanwhile 3 of the women in my family who got vaccinated were in the hospital with uterine hemorrhaging less than a week after getting the vaccine. So, I had a good idea how my body might react to that. Evidently my family is susceptible to the vaccines, but not to the virus.

I saw no reason to put myself at risk. And I judge no man or woman for how they have handled these last few years - unless they refused to wear masks or harassed folks for their vaccine stance.

I'm sorry about your relative, but that is still a very, very minor percentage of Covid reaction. Almost 25% of the infected were asymptomatic, with no symptoms at all. That needs to be addressed more....instead of the rare cases that are used to install fear into the public.
