I think Lisna's problem was that he couldn't remember how many Spartans so his Googling was like "200 Spartans". No. "201 Spartans." No. "202 Spartans." No. By the time he got to "299 Spartans" he'd decided to give up, which is a pity. Just one more Spartan and he would have been there...

I'm amazed at how weak is the public health messaging about the fact that fresh air and ventilation is probably the best protection against catching this thing.

When I got the booster in September I told the medic who gave me the shot that unbolting the windows in your clinic might be a good idea when you're dealing with an airborne virus. He asked me whether I found it "too stuffy" and had no idea what I was on about. There were hand sanitizer dispensers at every door and no air circulation whatsoever.

You make a good point with the ventilation, Jadis. Quite a few outbreaks have been aggravated, and in some cases even caused by, lack of ventilation. Would that be enough to end this crisis, probably not, but it sure could help.

Egyptian study says antibiotics shortens the time of recovery from covid (link in French)

Ceftazidime & céfépime, whatever these are, are the two antibiotics they used in the study

Covid who? Nothing like the threat of nuclear warfare to make one forget about the pandemic. :/
