I had a Zoom call with my psychiatrist today. I ended up asking him what to do even though it's not really his field. He told me if I'm still coughing, albeit slightly, and I tested positive still, just to hold out a few more days.
He then finished by saying that nobody knows what the actual right answer is and that everybody has a different experience with Covid. He wished there was some more clear instruction on what to do but the CDC is going to do what it needs to do in order to keep people generally safe while also keeping the corporate world in mind. Dude told me that we have a broken health care system and that it really should just be about the science but here we are. Find yourself a mental health physician who thinks the health care system is in shambles. That's honest f*cking advice right there. My doctor is awesome. |

Ask him how to build class consciousness in the working class. I'm asking for a friend.

When you damn Americans start getting vaccinated. Until then, to paraphrase Poe, take thy Covid*-ridden beaks from out of our hearts and take thy unvaxxed and unmasked forms from off of our door!
* a prize to anyone who can say why it would be funny if that was corvid rather than covid** ** not really

I lost a (non-blooded related) family member to Covid a couple of weeks ago, almost everyone in my family has had covid already but this was the first death.
He had the shot too, but he also had several health issues which compromised things. Unfortunately my grandma refuses to get vaccinated, I haven't been vaccinated either since I can't drive and my grandma is so terrified of vaccines she would try to stop me. So at the very least I try to stay home as much as possible. I worry about her, last year she had to go to the hospital because she had a pulmonary embolism and now she has a pacemaker.

How far is it to your clinic/doctor? You shouldn't be deprived of the vaccine just because you have no transport. Surely they will come to you if necessary? Where is it you live? If in the US, that could be a potentially life-saving decision. Your grandma has no right to tell you whether you are allowed to live or not; it's your decision no?

I know, I've been thinking about my options.
I live in Ripley, Tennessee which is a town of a little over 8000 people. We have a few clinics here, I need to look up which ones provide the shot.
