Well, that’s what people whose bacon hasn’t slid off their BLT have been trying to do for nearly 2 years, but we’re surrounded by over-the-top emotional wrecks. It kinda reminds me of that scene in that old movie “Marooned” where one of the three astronauts starts going crazy and using up oxygen while the other two are trying to stabilize him. The wackos out there are using up the oxygen in our little space capsule and trying to talk them down isn’t working. Some say to just let ‘em die and be patient (while another variant developes).

Yet they couldn't say "No, to hell with that I'm not going to the air-raid shelter. You won't trample on my freedumb. I choose to remain and not comply - what's that whistling sound....?"
The nice thing about the Blitz (other than dead English) was that it was one of the first times a city had ever been bombed so there were all these theories about how people were gonna lose their **** and society was gonna collapse in panic, but it turned out everyone was actually up for the challenge and mental health generally imprived because people who'd been a modern meaningless society all of a sudden had a purpose and something to unite them.

Whereas now it's just kinda wear a mask, don't go outside, and get a shot ... you know, if you want.

Dana and I boosted today. Man, the CVS I scheduled it at is using rusty harpoons as needles over there. First two shots I barely felt a thing and this time around it was like being stabbed by Inigo Montoya.

Same here. And the side effects (a week later) are not fun either. There won't be a second booster on this body. Oi

You had side effects a week later? Is that normal?

Are you sure they're side effects? Usually side effects happen within the first 48 hours.

Oh yeah. Headache that won't ****ing leave despite 16 advil. Body ache. Fatigue. Nurse told me to ante up on liquids and no drinking. And, actually, that really helped - a week later.

So you're saying your side effects lasted more than a week. You made it seem like they didn't show up until a week later.

About the same here though my second shot was pretty sore. The booster gave me some bad pain and malaise. Then I got infected a week and a half later :/
