His almost colleague bit it too

Quote:
In December, Louisiana Rep.-elect Luke Letlow, a 41-year-old Republican who was diagnosed with COVID-19, died, before the House reconvened in January after the 2020 election and swore in the members for the 117th session of Congress.
I think we already watusied on his grave though

I look at it this way - America could have done the best job possible and you would have still seen deaths all over the world. If China had done what it was supposed to on a much smaller area of land (AKA a fraction of the effort), then nobody in any other country would have died. This isn't difficult to understand. Citing how great a job they did turning Wuhan into Ground Zero only after the whole planet got ****ed over doesn't change the fact they are STILL responsible.

I've never said anything positive about China in the last six years. That predates Trump, and that's what they're fixated on. Unfortunately, you have a few here who seem to have short-term memory loss and have to make up things I've said in order to make themselves look good. I guess they can be consistent when it comes to that particular approach. I know reading is hard guys, but you can do better than this.

So yes, I've always been a man of my word.

What a coincidence, I've thought the same thing about you for years now. Wonderful.
you don't think it's a little rich to say they're responsible for the whole world getting sick cause they didn't contain it? You think we would've done a better job containing it? You really believe that, despite the fact that they have handled the virus way better than we did?

Save me the "I care about the whole world" crap. I didn't just fall off a turnip truck.

You think a country whose first instinct was to silence scientists and physicians who tried to speak out couldn't have closed the borders completely? They knew they had a problem in late November, possibly even earlier. This isn't about "caring" about the whole world - it's about the "greatest" world power (who thinks the U.S. should shove off) taking responsibility for letting loose the dogs of pestilence.

Close the borders entirely? What country on earth so you think would've done so?

Nobody knew the scale of this thing in ****ing November. China has dealt with any number of viral outbreaks that people worried would be the next pandemic. You never actually know when the big one is going to hit.

That's part of why they did a better job at handling it than us. Countries over there in east asia deal with this sort of thing semi frequently. They're more used to lockdowns and face masks etc. That's why it's absurd to point the finger at them for not containing it as if we would've done a better job at it.

Assuming you believe the official records, the Chinese government noted the first coronavirus case on November 17th, and from that point onward they spent weeks and weeks trying to squash anyone who wanted to tell the rest of the world about it. So no, if anything, we should be pointing the finger at them a lot more.

Yeah China is responsible for a lot but the sheer amount of cases we're responsible for spreading through superhuman intentional neglect? Trying to shift all the blame to China is like covering up a genocide.

China already covered up the genocide. You'll never know the real numbers and neither will I. Our government is a shambling corpse compared to their ability to mobilize and clean things up.
