Despite what President Donald J Trump might have told you or at least implied when he called it the China Virus and the Kung Flu and whatever other attention diverting racist **** he came up with: CHINA CANNOT CONTROL NATURE. It’s not their fault the virus originated there. All they could do was contain it once they figured it out and that’s what they did. The rest of the world is in debt to them for their quick action and good example. Unfortunately, we were too stupid to learn from our intellectual superiors.

America invests almost a trillion dollars a year on its military. Perhaps they could do **** like deliver food and medicine during a pandemic which is one of the most obvious end results of a terrorist attack and there’s this thing called “homeland security” that’s actually designed to keep the homeland secure. But yeah, there wasn’t anything we could’ve done. We just had to let it “wash through” like President Donald J Trump said.

One thing is for sure though. We didn’t understand germ theory or how viruses spread at the time. Now that we know about this thing in nature called “contagion” next time maybe we can get on top of it.

They sure as **** did. That's what GOF research is all about bud. And if there was really nothing to see at that lab, they wouldn't have been going gangbusters on information suppression.

Also, you are comparing containing the virus to a single prefecture to a country like the U.S. where people are pouring in from multiple points of entry. China didn't set a good example at any point that was actually relevant...well, except maybe in how to effectively "silence" people from whistleblowing.

The Republican Party has gutted and politicized everything science related that they could force their influence over. Speaking about America in particular we got a lot of work to do to rebuild and make our science institutions trustworthy and authoritative again.
