First, see if you can get a checked out at a free neighborhood clinic, if that's doable.
Home remedies - congestion: boil hot water, fill basin, add a teaspoon of eucalyptus oil. Place towel over your head and lower head over basin/pot. Inhale deeply for at least five minutes. It will be highly irritating at first (coughing fit expected) but will ease congestion. Twice daily until tightness/congestion ceases. friendly/easy on the eyes demo: A great hot drink that will keep your digestive system (and by association, respiratory track) clear is an early morning hot cocktail of boiling water, apple cider vinegar, lemon and honey. Or a green tea/lemon/honey combo will work if you're concerned about teeth staining from the apple cider vinegar - Of course, take VITAMIN D3 and ZINC supplements DAILY, especially if you're feeling symptoms similar to what is identified as Covid-19 related. But, of course, talk to your doctor before doing any of this if you feel hesitant or unsure about the medicinal value of any of it. (Some of it you should probably be doing, anyway.) But I have to say they've worked wonders for me. Gotta know your own body. Last edited by ando here; 12-30-2020 at 09:43 PM. Reason: correction |

Welp, I got COVID a couple weeks ago. Had to isolate from my wife up until Christmas. I'm feeling mostly recovered, though I have virtually zero sense of smell. I'm getting another test tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Wow, sorry to hear that, but glad you're ok now! Hope it wasn't too bad.

Thanks! It wasn't that bad for me. I felt awful for about a day, then somewhat crappy for several more. I've been very cautious with masking, handwashing and social distancing so I'm like 99% sure where I caught it, and I wasn't near those maskless assholes for very long so I think my viral load was probably fairly low. It sucked having to isolate from my wife, but the upside was I watched a ton of movies that had been on my watchlist for a while.

Losing the sense of smell or taste would frighten me. It’s so undeniably weird.
