I can think of a few things, however, that might make a legitimate difference. A real UBI plan in conjuniction with shutting every single business down that requires any kind of face-to-face interaction is the starting line. Then get Amazon to hire people remotely (who also don't have to physically come into contact with anyone) who are fine driving around and delivering people things like groceries without interacting with anyone. Make all delivery free, or if you do charge a fee give it to drivers.

Actually it’s entirely possible with the correct political will. Break quarantine get shot. That way people who don’t care can make the choice for themselves but not everyone else. Since virus spreaders are killing people why aren’t they treated like they’re killing people? You walk around shooting people and you get shot down. You walk around spreading the virus and people shrug. It doesn’t make any sense. Save the next 200,000. Give people the choice to live.

As it stands now we’re looking at five years of this ****. A vaccine isn’t a sure bet. Physical distancing works without fail.

So I'm still feeling pretty good. This is starting to raise some questions. Let's see...
- We assume Dana got it from Cousin at small get together on Sunday. - We both had direct contact. - Dana gets symptoms Tuesday. Tests positive Wednesday and Thursday on two tests. - I test negative on Thursday. - It's Saturday and I have no symptoms besides a small cough that I've had since Sunday. Sometimes I don't cough for hours. - Dana has headaches and body fatigue and light cough and no difficulty breathing. She's had some taste and smell issues. I guess the test on Monday will help narrow things down. I could be asymptomatic and + or the virus could still be incubating and hasn't shown its face yet. I could be immune from having it or just really good at not getting it. Right now I have no idea and I just don't get how I've lived with her in very close quarters for a week since she was exposed and I'm still fine. |

Perhaps you gave it to them when you were asymptotic or barely symptomatic and by the time you got tested it had run it’s course and the small symptoms you’re feeling are a stress related psychosomatic thing.
Or you gave it to Dana, she gave it to your cousin but your cousin manifested symptoms faster than Dana and got her diagnosis faster but not the virus. Anyway, it’s water under the bridge now. Not to diminish asymptotic spread but my understanding is the virus sheds more during the fever phase. Your test on Monday has a pretty good chance of coming up positive. Quote:

It’s coming to Africa. AIDS took awhile then wiped out a generation in some countries.

Tested negative again today. Still the possibility that I am a late bloomer and I'm still incubating but this is a good sign that I either had it already or am just a f*cking badass and my body is telling Covid to f*ck off. I'll test again, two different ones, at the end of the week. I've been taking Walgreens rapid tests so I want a second one. I went DEEP in my nose this time to get a good swab.
Dana is having a good day. Two days ago was the worst. Fatigue and killer headache. She can't smell anything today but she feels somewhat normal. The plot continues. |
