aaaahhh, OK, I didn't see anything quoted, so I didn't make the link.
Yeah, the coma/ventilator thing for two months must've been horrendous.

He would be dead if he had been reliant on American third world healthcare.

Hey so like life sucks because every human encounter I have is basically "please put on a mask". And then getting told to **** off and have people threaten to sue. Been real fun being an essential worker. I feel like ****.

That must be so dispiriting, Key. At least here on MB we appreciate that you are fighting the good fight: providing an essential service and also promoting the use of masks.
I suspect that even in America the tide is slowly turning and more people are seeing the wisdom of wearing masks. Please let us know if you see any reduction in the number of idiots arriving without a mask on, and in the meantime, try to stay positive.

I'm guessing that like here, there are mask-advisory posters outside and distance markers on the floor of where you work. I hope they give you some support when you tell people to put a mask on.

Hang in there Key. Just know that these people don’t know anything about you
and that they’re Neanderthals so tied to their erratic emotional responses that
it’s not really you that they’re angry with. Anyone could be standing there telling
them to put a mask on and that person will get crap thrown at them too.
As difficult as it is, you have to let it roll off of you - maybe even chuckle
under your breath at the sheer inanity of this person screaming in front of you.
Also, nobody can sue you for this. I’m sure you know that.

I’m rarely out in public, but if I have to get something kinda last minute at the store,
I go to a small place that usually has only a few customers at a time in order to get,
for example, milk and I always tell the cashier that I appreciate that they are there.
Since it’s a small grocery store, they usually tell me that they’re happy
that they’re working at a store like that and not some massive place.
When I have a larger order of groceries delivered, I always open the window up
when they arrive and thank them. These people are doing something that is
potentially dangerous and something that I’m definitely not willing to do myself.

Would you choose homelessness then? They’re not doing it to provide a service. Capitalism has a gun to their heads.

I have a choice. They often don't.
