“The Daily” -NYTimes podcast- this morning’s edition was about vaccine hesitancy in the United States and cites data that 50% of Americans will be wary of a vaccine for a myriad of reasons. I recommend listening to it. A major concern typically pro-vaccine people have is that the vaccine would be approved by Trump appointees. Personally, I too would have hesitations about taking a vaccine unless it was approved in the EU as well. Or if it was approved during a Biden administration.

Lately, I’ve been seeing covidiots going on about how masks are as effective as your pants are when you fart. It seems to be an idea that’s started to snowball from some wAcKy media source. Along with that, the idea of “sharting” - which is a term I haven’t heard since the 70s.

Haven't you heard, rotasi? Farts are extremely dangerous in Covid times. We should all be wearing Depends diapers or something.

Well, that just puts a double-whammy on their "theory" of facial masks being as benign as pants covering the undersides of shart pirates.

Rostasi, my apologies for the misspelling, I've been drinking.

Spreading "info" that masks aren't effective is basically misinformation, and I have a feeling it's mostly politically motivated or simply borne out of ignorance.

For those that are curious, it appears that "farts" are low if not inconsequential in their efficacy in passing Covid.
