Because Florida has more deaths in relation to the total number of cases compared to Texas. And both of them pale in comparison to NY.

I also saw that Texas has had 60k out of the 90k make full recoveries, which is a pretty interesting ratio.

If I were a mod I'd change "interesting" in all of your posts to [I am a knob].

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Tho not the ideal situation if you aren't wearing a mask outdoors, but still,
"fresh air dilutes the virus to a degree that transmission is much less"
and there's some slight evidence that direct exposure to sunlight kills the virus.

All of this is quite different than encouraging people to crowd into indoor tight situations -
misplacing capitalist concerns over public health and safety. So, yes, Abbott should take responsibility.
By far, the most I've ever seen anybody follow any of the guidelines in public since this whole thing began was at a protest. Almost everybody had a mask. It's almost like the people protesting against police brutality/racism were slightly smarter than the average American or something.

In countries keeping the coronavirus at bay, experts watch U.S. case numbers with alarm.

Meanwhile, hospitalizations have been surging in our state while deaths have been underreported.

“It really does feel like the U.S. has given up,” said Siouxsie Wiles, an infectious-diseases specialist at the University of Auckland in New Zealand — a country that has confirmed only three new cases over the last three weeks and where citizens have now largely returned to their pre-coronavirus routines.
“I can’t imagine what it must be like having to go to work knowing it’s unsafe,” Wiles said of the U.S.-wide economic reopening. “It’s hard to see how this ends. There are just going to be more and more people infected, and more and more deaths. It’s heartbreaking.”
We had every resource to deal with this too. Think of the National Guard and all those forces instead delivered food and medicine to people and focused on sanitation and lockdown enforcement.

A virus needs a host. That’s all we needed to ****ing know.

Straight out of Trump’s playbook

Blame the victim
Blame the minority
Scapegoat Mexicans
