Those two news articles make depressing reading, Psy-Fi. I can confirm what the first one says about Mexico: so many people with no job security, living day-to-day with what they earn, often by street trading. It makes lockdown either impossible or economically catastrophic. The quantity and quality of free healthcare are both extremely low, and with kids home from school, child care has become more complicated too.

I still totally care but we lost to idiocy as usual. America is the most infectious place on earth. If the rest of the world had any sense we’d all be burning in mushroom clouds.

People are literally rioting in surgical masks. Just because it's not at the forefront of the news cycle doesn't mean people forgot.
