That's why you're supposed to walk right in there, ask for the manager, look him right in is eye while you shake his hand, and show that you've got gumption. Talk to him about all of the skills that you learned in your free time for extra points.

Joke acknowledged but I do find it hilarious that I was given advice over the years by family members to do **** like that and yet I've never worked for anyone who said anything good about people who do that.
