That doesn't mean she should stop actively thinking about the situation but to go right to "I had it and it wasn't that bad so everybody should just get it over with" is so frustrating to me and Dana and that video was a big part of it.
Why aren’t people scared of getting it again and it being worse the second time?

I feel like I’m the only one in the country waiting on a definitive answer about the can you get it again question.

I know this is a false equivalency but if I get stung by a bee I don’t think damn I’m glad that’s over with. I look around to see if there are any more bees.

I think they determined that you can't get it right away again. The reports from South Korea of reinfections were false positives from dead cells of the virus. They are also determining through animal trials that you most likely can't get the virus again for close to a year but that hasn't been fully determined yet. That's the theory still.

I read that, too. Not the animal trial thing though but yeah. I guess it’s hard to prove anything beyond a shadow of a doubt and this story is so huge any kind of outlier is going to get a lot of press.

I meant about the study's methodology in particular.

Full-length genome sequences were obtained from five patients at an early stage of the outbreak. The sequences are almost identical and share 79.6% sequence identity to SARS-CoV. Furthermore, we show that 2019-nCoV is 96% identical at the whole-genome level to a bat coronavirus. Pairwise protein sequence analysis of seven conserved non-structural proteins domains show that this virus belongs to the species of SARSr-CoV. In addition, 2019-nCoV virus isolated from the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of a critically ill patient could be neutralized by sera from several patients. Notably, we confirmed that 2019-nCoV uses the same cell entry receptor—angiotensin converting enzyme II (ACE2)—as SARS-CoV.

‘False Dawn’ Recovery Haunts Virus Survivors Who Fall Sick Again

Her experience adds to a growing number of reports of patients appearing to have a reactivation of symptoms, testing positive again, or even potentially being reinfected. Such incidents don’t align with the generally accepted understanding of how virus infections work and spread.
Do people with herpes think they beat it after the first outbreak clears?

The way pretty much all of America is acting like staying cooped up for a few weeks was such hell and the rush to do everything is on with such force even though we know how devastating this is for the elderly and other vulnerable people I can’t help but hope it turns out that everyone who gets it ends up suffering for life. People ****ing deserve it. People willing to trash their grandparents, literally kill them, because they’re ****ing bored.

I have to say, there are times when I feel like it's resurging but nowhere near the level it was when it was at it's peak. It's more of a slight lingering than anything. I don't wish bad things on anyone though, even if they're making things difficult. Paranoid delusions and ignorance are not actions of malice.

You sir, are one jaded individual.

Ive had the decency not to put people at risk of death so maybe I have a right to this opinion. There’s hundreds in nursing homes dying right now in this state. I have NOT been out there potentially infecting their caregivers. So maybe people who think their petty daily activities are worth risking other people’s ****ing lives are the jaded ones. Maybe the people who refuse to call murder murder are the cowards.
