..............Davenport, Iowa (Quad Cities) is a much better city :)

why do you think so?
tbh most of these cities look alike to me but at least this one has the goofy island that looks like a boat to make it memorable

^It was hell getting around there after that derecho. Bad timing I guess, but I'll probably make another trip out that way this summer. I have a disc golf friend that moved a little west of there.

Cedar Rapids has about 25k more people or so, and I grew up in Davenport and just hated knowing that Davenport is only the 3rd! largest city in Iowa, with Des Moines being the largest.

Plus there is a cereal factory in Downtown Cedar Rapids that makes the place smell crappy, even driving through it on the highway with the car windows up.

Yep, 100% agree with both sentiments, Marie.
"like a boat" = perfect description. The building is quite pleasing to the eye imo, and the whole dual carriageway/bridge/building entrance arrangement is most unusual.

I love the simple lines of the bridge, with the twin footpaths under, in the bottom left of the photo, and the intriguing white monument that reflects in the water on the other side of the lake. A nice place to walk around.
