Over watering and under watering can cause leaves to drop off. That soil looks like dried mud in that photo. I'd pull the plant from the container and take a look at the roots. The roots should be a fleshy, light-color. If they're brown and mushy, you've got root rot.

Seymore's getting too big for his pot, and the .25" dowel rod stake isn't much help keeping him upright these days. He'll be getting a new, bigger pot, and a thicker stake come springtime.

I grabbed a 4'x.25" inanimate carbon rod from our shop at work and woop there it is:

Seymore's a lot happier now, but I still need to repot him in something a bit bigger to avoid root rot.

One of my other main past times is Gardening, once I pass the magic 15 I will add some photos of my/our work we have done here in the last 6 years. An acre of land and was once part of a farm, that was yonks ago and pretty much left to overgrow with brambles and weeds and junk like you would not believe...

If that's your property, I am SUPER jealous. Amazing.

I was just thinking the same thing. Your gardens and property are absolutely lovely, Dianne. All your efforts have paid off beautifully.
