Not as often, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. The people who are confused for not being straight because they do not match the societal expectations to a T are treated the same as LGBT people. Straight people who are still not sure of their sexuality and identity cannot even think about seeing what they like because they will automatically become someone different to other straight people. I don't even really like straight people, I'm not even straight, but the second we start pretending like everyone doesn't have their own problems they are dealing with is the second we lose the ability to compromise with others. Straight people used to catch a beating for wanting a relationship with someone outside their race, sometimes race still plays a part in deciding who a straight person can date, and the threat of violence can come with that too. I like to think that that word has evolved beyond strictly referring to gay people and has done so for years now at least. Straight people are definitely seen as more creepy, and can be subject to random assaults because they were in the vicinity of somebody who was uncomfortable with them being there. Obviously, the threat of violence against the LGBT community is far more prevalent, but that isn't the point I am making or standing against. The real thing here is that we should not give in to a gay vs straight divide, no matter how much even I would like that. There will always be straight people, which means that we should not push them away by ignoring some of the things that they could be dealing with on a daily basis, especially straight girls (or even girls who aren't straight that are not "accepted" by straight guys and raped). Again, not true. Everybody has different experiences. They literally made a film entitled The 40-Year old Virgin, and there are plenty of other films about straight guys and their obsession with sex. Literally every adult male interaction I have ever seen in some revolves around sex, talking about sex, thinking about sex, asking about sex, you name it. There is a wonderful documentary called The Mask You Live In that I highly recommend on this topic. I don't need to do my own research, you assuming otherwise is a problem uniquely your own. Even if people were ever attacked for being straight, not saying they are, but the news would never publish that because it isn't sensational it wouldn't be as noteworthy since straights are the majority. Not to mention it would cast straight people in a bad light. I care about every issue. I don't think you have taken enough time to appreciate who I am as a person to make such statements. Long winded point later; all I am saying is not all straight people deserved to be vilified, and not all of them enjoy the treatment that they get from society. Which is not all it's cracked up to be either. |

There was a cat at my friend's grandma's house (she had a lot of cats, it was inhumane, a lot of procreation) that was blind and I named him Ray Charles. He took care of himself real well. Awesome cat too. None of the other cats like him though. I remember one time we were changing the litter box and he jumps in the middle to take a big nasty **** as we did it. So that made him awesome because he was like one of the only cats to use a litter box. And he was blind at that. He also went blind because another cat named Al ripped his eyes out when he was a kitten. Cats are ruthless. I don't know what this has to do with being gay though.

I'm sure he could if he had the chance. Just wouldn't be good at it.
