Learned how to make arcs and circles (G02, G03)(its needed for the air motor I am in the process of starting and plan to build. Gotta cut 5 parts and place on top of last courses base plate Wednesday I left early without finishing what i started but im going to take extra time going further. professor allows us to come in at 4p, 2 hours early.

still completely understanding it, one way I have learned to understand things is by explaining as much as i can about the subject to my pops. he is the best listener i have ever met.

I have a part similar to this where I have to drill 6 holes, this guy explains a way to do that.

looking at my blueprints for all the parts, its going to be the most detailed project i've ever built. its an air motor, ive seen a finish version and its cool asf. but all the parts need to be machined to fit tight and .005 off on a part, they wont fit like legos

I plan to finish this CNC 2 course, I'll definitely share a photo of the parts or the motor when done. CNC 1 was basically just basics and getting a block to certain size and then program your name into it. that part from CNC 1, is the base plate to this air motor

I was trial by fire when I got thrown into running a turret lathe while in between jobs. They showed me a simple part and how to make it, then left me alone with little guidance. I was pumping out graduated steel rolls for pipe bending in a matter of a week or two. I had quite a bit of programming experience though, so that helped.

Good luck on your 2nd installment!

The software and tech has had a few years to refine since I've had my grubby hands on it. I can't remember anything about it other than the guy that was showing me the ropes had a hot wife.
