Did you move to LA or were there for a concert or something?

I was originally gonna catch Brötzmann and Haino for 2 nights, but it got postponed. I took a discounted rate on my hotel so I couldn't get a refund and decided to come anyway. Caught Ken Vandermark and Nate Wooley on Friday, went to a few bars, art museums, and Amoeba yesterday.

Both of those are outstanding consolation prizes.

I assume Friday’s show was the better but I love Robert Rich.

I haven’t been in a situation like that in a long time but that’s some scary ass ****. That guy must have known you REALLY needed that ride.

When you’re out like that you have to turn your phone all the way off at like 30%.

Great ****ing experience man

That’s livin life

Or just use a public payphone.

Or walk into any establishment and ask to use their phone for a few minutes. 99% of the time people can be accommodating. I know that because I've had to do it a few times.

Yep, if you're by shops/bars and they're open pretty much all of them are gonna let you use their phone to call a taxi.

I would have done that instead of walk five miles.

Yep. Less of them about though.

Good luck finding one.

Maybe- in some parts of some cities that’s a tall ass order.

It drained fast on me, was very unexpected. I can handle the city at night in most circumstances and probably would've gotten along fine if I walked. The fat bag of records would've made it a little sketch though.

And ja they had signs for shows there. Their jazz and experimental sections were impressive. You can see my haul in the vinyl thread.
