As far as I can gather, soccer couldn't win over Americans the honest way so they decided to move in scabs.

So Leicester being world news raised the profile of the city, lots of people know of it now because of that whereas they didn't know of it at all before.

That would be really crazy news given that there are no MLB teams in Indiana.

It was big news because it was something that had never happened before and will in all likelihood never happen again.
I'm not pretending TH. It was not huge news over here, which I hasten to point out is actually part of the world. It's a pretty reasonable, based on the replies in this thread from other people outside the British Isles, to conclude that it's maybe not quite as big a story as you perceive it to be.

Imagine how much bigger their profile would be if The Beatles were from there. It's easy if you try.

It's amazing how unmoved they are at the possibility of British news about British sports not being as hyped around the world as the British think. It almost reminds me of American stereotypes who can't imagine a world that doesn't revolve around them.

Fixed.

Rose to fame. Asked for too much. Was easily replaced.

Is that just part of the "I hate every single woman" thing or do you hate her for asking for a raise?
