I noticed this too when I first moved to NC. I mean granted I lived in Florida before that but South FL is completely overrun with new Yorkers, Jews and immigrants so it doesn't really count as the true South.

It was a culture shock when I moved here and I would say the stereotypes to the locals like you guys **** your cousins and they would just be like "Naw, that's Alabama" or "Naw, that's West Virginia."

Funny how instead of rebuking the stereotype they just pawn it off on a slightly more slack jawed nearby state. I was like are you sure? Cause the rest of the country thinks it's all y'all.

Yeah Virginians treat West Virginians with contempt. I'm sure it has something to do with them seceding from us in the Civil War.

Yeah I'm thinking West Virginia is pretty hard to beat tbh

Other than parts of Florida and Texas, Virginia is the closest to a non southern state in the South.

You have to be more specific. If you're talking Pensacola that's a spring break town. The real backward areas of Florida are in the middle of the state between the two coasts, where they grow all the oranges and ****.

Guarantee you any party of Florida that's on the coast is significantly less redneck than WV. Even Jacksonville.

You ever seen the wild and wonderful whites of West Virginia?
