Well I’m about half way through Marion Brown -

I still need to do Future but James Brown wasn’t born in Georgia.

I’m thinking mid December probably.

Thanks for caring my bro

Afternoon of a Georgia Faun

Look who’s on that record!!!

Talk about under appreciated

****ing completely essential

The follow up to the above record and second part of an absolutely indispensable trilogy about the state of Georgia is Geechee Recollections

Your life is incomplete without this.

Vista

1975

Moves away from the aggressive free Coltrane influenced sound into smooth production laid back fusion somewhat in the style of Alice Coltrane. Harold Budd composed and played on the track Bismillahi 'Rrahmani' Rrahim.

Enjoy me some don. Not a huge fan of the recent direction they took from The Hunter on though.

OccultHawk 10-13-2018 02:23 PM

tttt they never hit the sweet spot with me

The Batlord 10-13-2018 04:05 PM

They're perfectly fine but even Blood Mountain was a pop prog metal decent release.

They got several songs on that album that are legit the **** though, and "Capillarian Crest" is one of them.

Edit: Actually upon listening to it again "Capillarian Crest" is pretty mediocre which calls into question literally every good opinion I've ever had about Mastodon. They might just be painfully mediocre as a whole.
