Marion Brown Quartet: Why Not? Rashied Ali drums. Fans of Coltrane’s modal era should love this insanely under appreciated masterpiece. A little sumptumsumptum for those who like the freestyle spice as well.

1967: Marion Brown Quartet (ESP/Fontana) Here’s where I post a picture and recommend the record. Those of you who know who you are - fans of other recording that involve Rashied Ali - this is full on unassailable **** put it on your list and get around to it when you can it’s as good as other records that are far more recognized
