Default Things People Say or Write That Annoy You

Other than my walls of text and dad jokes, of course.
An idea again ripped from the mind of a member without his consent, this comes on the heels of a comment made by grindy in another thread.

So, what do people write wrong or say wrong that really annoys you? In this era of the changing English language and fluid ways of talking, the meanings of words metamorphosing into others and the prevalence of text spelling, what is it that still bugs you?

Number one on my list is, and ever shall be, the incorrect usage of apostrophes. Why oh why can't people understand the simplest of rules? If it's possessive, apostrophe yes. If it's not, apostrophe no.

Something which I believe is endemic only to Ireland is our propensity for making words up. We have "hostipal" instead of hospital, "copporation" instead of "corporation", "Beaumount" instead of "Beaumont", and Chicago becomes "Chicargo". Man, we're dumb.

Probably when people say "I could care less".

Since, in my mind, US and GB English is all muddled together, it's annoying to keep having to try and remember/figure out if it's color/colour, gray/grey, defense/defence, etc.

Should/Would/Could: Of

It's 'have' you friggin nitwit. Can I of some more pie? Derp.

If I corrected all the times I've seen this in the last year alone, I could probably just call it a part time job. Todays grammar mistakes are tomorrows norm.

I've lived here my entire life and have been unaware of this. I guess it's a thing though:

Irish people need to stop referring to Chicago as 'Chicargo' right now

Right up there with "Warsh" instead of "Wash" I guess. Just don't put ketchup on your hotdog and you'll survive.

Mic just posted a good one.

Not a grammatical error as such but the misuse of British/English, using one when the other is clearly meant.
