This goes for anybody:
If you'd like to have a card sent directly to Chio and don't have the time or money, I'm throwing this out there that I will not only purchase the card, I will write something for her on your behalf, and pay the postage to send it directly to her address. I can literally do all of this at work, so I may as well do something productive. So, if you are interested, send me a PM and put something that you'd like to have in a card, and with the name you'd like me to sign it with, and I will send it down on your behalf. I'm serious. Let's show Chio some love. |

This may not sound especially personable but in good times and bad a little old fashioned cash... she could take herself out to dinner, pay a bill, buy something, do whatever the **** she wants with it. If someone who knows her irl set up a go fund me I’d drop a twenty or whatever. If ten of us did that you know. I’m not sure if it would be distasteful but if it were me I’d rather a little bank than a card.
Not that there’s anything wrong with a card. That’s a good idea.

I'm not big on go fund me style ideas. I went with the card idea because it's simple and requires some thought. I'm sending a card regardless but I wasn't sure if others would've liked me to for them. That's all I was going for.

I'd certainly like to send her a card, but would think the idea of getting one from all of us would be better than individual cards. Kind of like when you get a birthday card at work? Nice to see everyone's name on it. This thread was set up (obviously) with that basic idea in mind, so for me, yeah, if anyone wants to write a message and then PM it to Ki and he can write and send the card.
I'd also like to say this is a very kind, thoughtful and generous idea of Ki's. I give him ****, like we all do, but he has to be praised for this idea. Also considering he's only recently returned and probably doesn't know Chio online as well as some of us do, that's doubly impressive. Well done, Ki, and if people decide one card, many messages I'll send you mine. If not, I'll send you a separate message you can put in a single card. If you need money sent on let me know.

I think the single card idea is better too. It's probably more economical (I'm pretty much penniless) and it gets a lot of us together at the same time. Maybe Troll can write up something like, 'we're thinking of you', and we can all virtually sign off on it. Heck, just seeing this thread ought to cheer her up knowing we were thinking of her. (Which we are, Chiomara )
