Well that's fine, but it's unfair to call it "longwinded" just cos you don't like it. As I said, Hugo and even Dickens run on at the mouth in a literary sense as well. Not that I'm in any way comparing my writing to the soles of their shoes even, but sometimes writers do witter on, and as long as it's to a purpose I don't have a problem with that.
