He’s upset because some people don’t want kids. He took it personally because he does have kids. He thinks if you say you’re happy that you don’t have kids it’s the same as saying he made a mistake by having them.

In my “long life no thanks” thread both lucem and I said we never wanted kids and Chula started getting menopausal.

I can respect both choices. On one hand, someone's going to have to shoulder the responsibility of exchanging genetic goo and do some parenting, or mankind goes poof.
On the other hand we are far too many on this planet already, so if you don't think you can make some above-average quality humans, you're just kind making it worse. Not necessarily my view, but that's a way one could put it. I don't personally want kids, but I don't deny the possibility that I could change my mind about that if I met the right woman. Who knows. You have a stance until you have a reason to change it. |

I don't not want kids because of overpopulation, I don't want them because I'm lazy as **** and don't want all of that work. If it ended up happening down the line I'd deal with it but it's most definitely not on the roster.
