Pet Stories
We have the pets' picture thread, but how about one in which we share cute, crazy, interesting or other stories about our pets?
I remember some good long time ago, Ritchie, my cat who has now passed on, was out in the garden when a helicopter went overhead. ****er got up on his hind legs and tried to swat the damn thing out of the sky! If only I had had a camera! |
I was a bit scared to pick up my dog to bath him during his life, because he could be a bit aggressive to people who weren't my dad, and bite you. On the day he was due to be put down (he was 18 and could barely walk) I decided I might as well try to pick him up and bath him myself with his shampoo, so I did and he didn't bite. Then I dried him and let him eat all of his treats.

My dog couldn’t break his turd off for like 5 minutes so I decided to reach down there and help him out and when I finished I noticed the mailman was watching me.

Sorry to hear about your dog, Monkey, but 18 is a great age. When we used to bathe (occasionally) our dog, he would struggle like ****, then once clean, barrel down the stairs (knocking aside anyone in his way), out the garden and roll in the muck! Dogs! Ya gotta love 'em huh?

Well, there was one time I did...
Oh wait... :D |

Putting a dog down was the hardest thing I had to do. We had a Collie and she was a sweet dog, but she had suffered for so long by this point. She looked at me as if to say goodbye and that was it. I cried like a baby.
So I know what you probably went through, Monkey. |

My first memory was getting my dog Jazz in a box on my birthday.
I have a shiba inu named Leo that likes to sing along to instruments. He especially likes high piano and guitar chords and climaxes. When she was a puppy, my dog Skye was with us at some lake or something and I picked up my towel to dry off. The towel had wolves on it and she attacked it. |
I wish I had managed to get this on video, but anyway...
Millie is my female cat and Eddie is the remaining male. Eddie is much bigger than Millie but a little dumb to say the least. Millie usually lies on Karen's bed; it's kind of her spot. Last night Eddie decides he'll take over. Millie comes in, sees he's there, gives him a filthy look and goes to look out of the window. Eddie, triumphant, settles down. A few minutes go by, and Millie seems to be looking very intently out of the window. Eddie notices, and begins looking over. You can just see the cogs in his little brain working: "What's she looking at? What's so interesting? I want to see that!" And down he jumps. Having joined her at the window, he looks out but Millie turns around, looks at him, hisses and walks off. A moment later, she's on the bed. Poor Eddie turns around, sees what has happened, looks up forlornly and has to walk off. Millie wins. Girl power/brain over brawn. Score. :D |
