Yeah.
That's worrying, the tenuous link between that **** and Speed's suicide. We'll never know, but you would wonder now...

Yeah. Man United aren't the force they used to be. City have taken over in the last few seasons. United are still up there, but the fear factor, largely, is gone now from playing them.

No they aren't bigger.

They were a nothing club who had less titles than Huddersfield Town and then they were bought by Arab billionaires in 2008. Think it was a royal family of the UAE, can't be arsed to fact check. Anyway they spend, spend, spend on players until they win. If they don't win it doesn't matter because they will spend another few hundred million in one window. They've spent billions. When you're throwing these amounts of money around success is inevitable.

Many supporters don't agree with it or like it.

Monkey's not at all biased, as you can see...
They're bigger, mate, in every sense that matters. Most have forgotten United now, City is the one to watch, City has won all the titles, they're going for the quad this year. Yes, they've bought their way to success, but sure you could say that of any other club. It's always he who spends the most who ends up getting the spoils, with the one solitary exception of Leicester City of course.

MC are not a bigger club than MU, their current group of players is better which is why they're higher in the league, but by this logic that would make Tottenham bigger than Arsenal.

Smaller revenue
Smaller ground
Fewer honours
Fewer supporters

???

# of MC trophies since takeover - 5
# of MU trophies since takeover - 8

???

It's the scale of it, and this isn't true anyway.

But we can move this to the English football thread if you want.

Do you guys think that if Americans weren't so secretive about sex, then there wouldn't be so much sexual harassment and violation?

No. I think if we weren’t so obsessed with social hierarchy we wouldn’t express our *******ry in such ugly ways. The response to the harassment is a power grab in the same way the harassment was expression of dominance. It’s not about fixing a problem; it’s about jockeying for position instead of making structural reform.

When I hear a victim of sexual misconduct protest by rejecting the hoarding of wealth I’ll take them seriously. If you got fondled trying to get rich you’re still part of the problem.

It may be a combination of both.

Americans are taught to be secretive about sex. To hide it. So it becomes a special thing in their mind.
