Self-Driving Vehicles
Has anyone ever ridden in a self-driving [autonomous] vehicle? I don't know that I would trust one.
We've seen that regular vehicles can be remotely hijacked. I would assume it would be even easier on a self-driving vehicle. But my conspiracies aside, would you prefer a self-driving vehicle? I can see how they would reduce impaired driving incidents. |

Yeah you could get drunk and stoned and just ride. **** if I were like money I’d let that robot ****er drive me around for the hell of it. Get a self driving van. Blast tunes. Chill in the back. Be like where the **** am I who cares. Hit the next rest station so I can toilet up then run through Taco Bell. Take a nap. Pop some vikes. AC blasting. Buy a blow job if my dick gets stiff.

The only issue is that it would be way too easy to get wasted and get in the back or your self-driving car and tell it to take you to Cali just for the **** of it and then wake up in Tennessee (I live in VA).

Sound a bit Philip K. Dick-ish?

Hawking says it’s one of the top ten likeliest ways humanity will end. I’m good with that as long as I don’t have to drive.

The hack who's going senile? Take it with a grain of salt.

Is it possible for AI to become conscious and self-aware? If not, why not? And if so shouldn’t we recognize that as a danger? And really, even if it’s not self-aware why is it so hard to believe we could lose control of it? How much of a stretch is it from terrorism through computer viruses to hacking AI or simple malfunction or even a self-educating program like DeepMind simply taking control? Many nightmare scenarios are very possible.
