You can buy all kinds of things: drugs, weapons, passports/ID's, stolen/copied information, counterfeit currency, services [hacking, murder]. It usually has to be paid for with BitCoin. It's like the underground black market / wild west of the internet.

The deep web scares me because I can guess how much of it is kiddie porn.

Not as much as you'd think. Maybe 1% of what I've seen advertised on the dark web is talking about kiddie porn. Not saying it's not there. I'm sure if you look for it hard enough, you'll find it. Everything listed for sale [as far as guns and drugs go] is horrendously overpriced, but I guess it's the law of supply and demand.

I check it out from time to time to see if there are any anonymous posts with information that needs to see the light of day.
