I was raised by a single mother and wholeheartedly condemn that kind of family structure (unless, of course, it was caused by the father's death).

I'm the child of two divorcees but not from eachother. Parents are still happily married. My half-brother (my only 'real' sibling) got the short end of the stick when my mum divorced his dad. It negatively effected not only his attitude towards me but his attitude in general, and he's developed a lot of destructive personality traits due to it. I hate to say it but I feel like I dodged a bullet.
