That is not true. There would still been an Israel. Zionism didn't start as a reaction of Nazi policies on the Jews. The idea starts with Theodor Herzl in 1897.

Idea ≠ implementation. Without WW2, Israel wouldn't have been granted land rights. The "holocaust" was the impetus.
