The basic point is that while sweatshops kinda suck, when you poll the people who work there they would rather keep the same pay than improving working conditions or lower hours. Obviously, when asked, they would prefer more pay per hour, but you can poll literally any group in the history of the world and they will say that.
The point is that working in a sweatshop is preferable to them than not even having a job, and forcing companies to pay a certain amount and have better working conditions leads to fewer people being employed and therefore fewer people who can actually provide money to their families.
It's not a terrible opinion, trust me. Watch the video for a non-drunken idiot explanation.
