I believe that everyone has a right to a life of dignity and security, and honestly don't think I'm "better" than those who find themselves in a situation where they have none.

What I don't believe in is censoring my reactions of finding certain social situations funny, including when they involve people whose life circumstances are tragic. Policing myself to fit someone's idea of a "good person" etc.

Tbh what I found funny in the Ridgewood DD was the extent to which the young Indian cashiers absolutely despise the customers.

Wait till you see someone who just shot up struggling to get out of the bathroom, it's some epic lulz.

If it was up to me, NYC would've had services such as Montreal's Cactus: a safe injecting site where addicts are treated with dignity and are not judged.

But boomers have some ****ed up emotional hangup with "we shouldn't be rewarding drug addicts!"

Whenever they say that I always think about leaning into them and asking "So what's it like never living up to your parents generation?" I keep looking to find them most devastating question to ask them that is equivalent to:

How I wish George Carling did a bit about how California banned plastic straws but then hands out 4.5 million plastic needles a year. Come on man.
