Exactly! I slice the bananas over the cereal, e.g. the Rice Krispies act like a buffer zone between the milk and the slice bananas. I don't get why he has such a problem with making cereal!?

I like my cereal to soak in milk and become soft. What you're talking about sounds like it's dividing the textures while I like my cereal to reach a kind of equilibrium with the milk.

How long do you let it soak for? Because I agree that the crunchy cereal schtick is just a way to justify eating stale cereal but I'm more of a let it get soggier over the course of eating it kinda guy.
