Ironically enough most "non college educated" people probably don't even know the term. It's something most people pick up from their sheltered Marxist professors.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

I have to say it's a strange situation to be inclined to go to college, keep a high GPA, etc without any intention on putting yourself in a position to maybe get a career.

It's like you're working towards a future career and haven't come to terms with that yet.

I had the same attitude about careers in my early 20s. But if I did what you're doing instead of continue to self destruct and dig my ditch deeper and deeper, maybe i would be much better off than I am now.

me too.

I'm talking in general. Go into your local Walmart and see how many people you can find who know that term.

Then thinking only bourgeoisie people know the word is really just a bourgeoisie stereotype meant to paint poor people as uneducated which is especially irrelevant in the internet age. To be honest, I don't think bourgeoisie is commonly used or known in any class as commonly as it's used here.

It's not commonly known by any class but it's more likely to be known by college graduates i'm sure, which is what I found ironic. That's not a stereotype, that's just a reasonable guess based on personal experience.

And whenever some one says it as a pejorative it comes across like class guilt to me... Like privileged people guilty about their own privilege... Cause poor people generally don't actually talk like that. Like Bat said, blacks say bougie.

But I'm not rich. I talk like that. I use it mostly to shame people for stupid hierarchical thinking.

Edit: The evils of being part of the bourgeoisie isn't the privilege to me, it's really the self righteous and oppressive hierarchical ideologies they tend to push.

Wait until he finds out that being a rapper actually is a real job unless you become a superstar.
