So lay it on me. What's a good hot sauce for her, other than my baby-batter? Not much hotter than Tabasco to start with. She needs to gauge how hot she can actually handle.
Don't know what your options are like in Japan but try Encona's Peri Peri sauce if you can find it. It's not 'blaze your face off' hot but does have a little kick to it, and has lime in it also. It's really good.

They also do hot pepper sauce which is excellent but tbh that one is actually very hot so don't get that one yet.

I'm sure you'll like the Peri Peri tbh.

If she can take five across the eye when she messes up your sandwich she can take some habanero hot sauce.

Wouldn't it be more sensible to look on your own seeing as none of the rest of us live in Japan?

this is my go-to

way more exciting than tobasco, but just as versatile

also a big fan of fermented sriracha (i get a local brand, so can't vouch for the above - but my understanding is that it's an easy DIY)

No, because I'm sure the hot sauce I'll be getting is something I'll have to order online from the States or elsewhere since Japan sucks in more ways than one.

Then try that Belizean Heat if you're buying online. The brand is Marie Sharp.

Jelly of our American forumistas who can buy this sauce easily.

Hottest sauce I've ever tried was some Trinidad scorpion pepper ****. Everything else since then has been baby tier.

I love when I'm eating some strong wasabi and that thing happens where you just happen to breath in at the wrong moment, and the sting flows through your whole respiratory system.
