Silent Hill as a series is pretty shit. The first three are great, the rest are purile. RE has four solid old school survival horror games, two insanely fun action horror games, and a reboot that wasn't so abominable that the company that owned the license decided that making the series into a pachinko fuckfest would be better than beating the dead horse any further.
