I think the dividing line between young and old is basically whether or not you ever used a typewriter.

Yes I have, and even a manual one. Does anyone remember having to watch the ribbon turn from black to red as an indication you had to change it, and then all the fun you had changing the damn thing? Ink all over your hands, ribbon always twisting between the spools.... fun times.

That's what that means? I thought it was just for flair.

I've used a typewriter some time back in school. Not for class, just one they had to toy around with. I vividly remember the feeling of weight the buttons have when you press them down. Would be fun to have one, until I get tired of it and realize it's better to write on a PC.

You ever written a hipster chick poetry from a typewriter? If you haven't, it's a very good approach.

MicShazam 09-29-2017 03:25 PM

Not me.
I haven't even written poetry for that matter.
Or written anything to a hipster chick.

All of those seem like bad ideas for me.

Just smash nice sounding words together and act like there's a deeper meaning and when they do find a deeper meaning they think you're a genius and you're just like "well of course".

Pabst
like the blue ribbons in your hair
ride your fixie all the way to Dixie
Nietzsche set the arcade on fire
and I saw the light in your eyes
before it was mainstream

did I score yet?

Too much narrative. Try again.
