For ratings. Yes, and according to Kanye he's pissed people off in the industry that are pulling strings to get people to hate him. As somebody who actually listens to what he says, I don't think he deserves anywhere near the amount of hate he gets especially when I know most people that hate him can be just as douchey and arrogant as him.

i mean I ride Kanye’s dick a lot but even I’m not naive enough to deny he’s an egotistical maniac. watch any interview he’s done within the last 5 years and tell me he doesn’t genuinely sound like he’s borderline insane. i think it obviously stems from the things in his past, especially his financial situation and his mother, but there’s still no denying he goes off the handle all the time.

If that's what you choose to focus on while ignoring some of the other things he says. I watch his interviews. He doesn't seem insane to me when I realize how much success he has, how many times he's been told by the world he can't do something then proved them all wrong despite the constant obstacles, and how much of an impact he's had on culture. Watch old Kanye interviews and hear what he says about the future back then. When he says something is going to happen, it happens. The ironic thing has how many people act like they are the best thing to happen with out accomplishing a damn thing at all. So with him being him I have no problem with him calling himself a genius. I like his whole thing on calling himself a god where he says, "would it be better if I have a song called 'I Am A ******' or 'I Am A Gangster'". Also I think in a lot of those interviews he was doing lots of cocaine.

dude watch his interview with Sway or for that matter anything he’s really said or done post-Yeezus. you’re talking as if he’s the same Kanye from 2012. he’s gone.

I've seen that interview. He is the same Kanye. Just that all of what he's done and accomplished has absolutely gone to his head and I can't blame or hate him for that. Every interview around that time was being being extremely frustrated with the clothing industry for treating exactly like the music industry did when he first decided to become a rapper. He's clearly upset that they aren't allowing him to create and are marginalizing him for being a rapper. Which is stupid. Kanye is obviously an artistic genius, people should just get out of his way and let him create because it results in great things. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, I think he was on cocaine on a lot of those interviews. Just the way he is moving around and stuff. He definitely wasn't sober or in a normal state of mind.
