Snickers, I fully support your decision to go vegan. I have been vegan at varying intervals in my life and it is important to know that it is much more than a dietary regimen; it is also a spiritual path and a commitment to a more concious lifestyle. We are what we eat, and that does'nt necessarily just mean that if we eat garbage we get fat, it also means we take on the anger and the opression of the life that it is involved in what we consume, both directly and indirectly, so an overall organic lifestyle would really be a positive goal to achieve in the future. You should take the time to educate yourself on veganism- the health benefits and detriments as well as its political, ecological, and spiritual aspects. A good knowledge of dietary science, and the political nature of the FDA and the food industry is very helpful too. Read Food Politics by Marion Nestle, its sure to open your eyes quite a bit. And just please don't be one of those smug self-righteous vegans, not because they're annoying, but because the more you make it your own personal choice the more rewarding it will be.

Keeping millions locked up so you can kill them seems pretty cruel to me and I won't support it anymore.

Just telling the forums.
yea the thing u said about eating "corpses of helpless little creatures" really made me think about what im eating, but i was thinkn that it'll be really unhealthy, look at micheal stipe, all scrawny and weird.
and us not eating meat isnt gonna stop their deaths, theyre still gonna be killin heapsa animals.

^ yeah but that way you can rid yourself of responsibility... nonetheless, i dont believe in it... i mean its survival of the fittest, humans have evolved as the strongest species and, as long as we don't wipe other species out, then its fine to eat them i think.... the world cannot self sustain on just plant material and its not healthy anyway... i have no problem with people who want to be vegan or whatever, i just dont see the point in it myself...

Dude I can eat more than anyone I know.
Nine pieces of pizza and a gallon of milk whenever we have pizza.

But I just stopped eating it.

My mother and step-dad are making fun of me the most; not my friends or just random people who hear I'm a vegan, my guardians..
I'm fine pretty much though.
Some things are still tempting but I won't eat them because I now have firm principles that I am wishing to stick to.

same here! It's so annoying, you'd think they'd show some support, they're not even respectful about it
