When I listened to a nickleback album. Also included the concept of wasting limited time.

Condolences TH. At least you're not selfish enough to make him live through a painful death to get more time with him.

Thanks man. It was a terrible decision but we both agreed that we would not repeat the mistakes of the past. One of our previous cats spent about six months in a cage in the kitchen (at the suggestion of our vet) but we know now (as we kind of did then) that we should have just bit the bullet and let her go. I guess it is selfishness in one way, but I see it more as weakness: neither of us were prepared to make the hard decision and face facts. We're determined not to make that mistake again.

God, it hurts though.

It's one of the best and one of the hardest decisions you'll ever have to make.

I know. It's not the first time and it won't be the last (we have two other cats, same age though at the moment totally healthy). Needless to say, I am not looking forward to it. Have to make the appointment tomorrow, probably going to go for Friday, as long as my vet can be there personally. I kind of don't want to entrust Ritchie's passing to anyone else.

That's why I always use the same vet.
