I found myself in a similar situation 7 years ago. It made me take work for granted. Now I get to drink copious amounts of coffee and code sh it, and I still take work for granted.

Is being on unemployment benefit, struggling to put food on the table, having to rely on someone else to put a roof over your head, and having fading hopes of finding employment somehow better for your mental health?
Or you could always just live a self-sustaining lifestyle in the woods and forget the world exists.
