The mods here sure seem better at dishing it out than taking it.

There were other people that had their permabans overturned. I think Boo said Bungalow Bill had his permaban overturned three times - from the best of my recollection, that is what Boo said. I am not advocating anything like that. I wish he gave him a year, as a experiment, to see if Batlord would come back the same in a year's time from now.

I was permanently banned from another forum after 20K+ posts over 10 or so years. (one of the reasons I ended up here) After 2 years of being on the outside looking in, my ban was lifted anonymously without me even being told. I just happened to try logging in one day and it worked. I started a new account and kept a low profile for a year and then reached out to the mods. They basically said "you've behaved for a year, we don't really like perma-bans, just stay cool and you're more than welcome back".

Funny, after only a few weeks of being back, a number of members knew it was me and kept bringing it up in sly ways. I kept thinking "****, the gig is up", but it never happened. Now pretty much everyone knows it's me and we've all settled back in.

Batty, try logging in at least once a month. Maybe someday the door will open for you too.

I think so it's based off the fact that he's been banned before. It goes like one day, one week then perma. I think it used to be one day , one week, one month then perma but somewhere along the lines that changed.

I'm honestly not surprised that people are threatening to leave because the main source behind the ****storms is now banned. You guys need to stop being so petty and realize that this place has been in a bad place because every turn you took, you were going to be getting an insult by Bat. You can mourn all you want, but to say you're going to leave is more offensive towards the owners and the other members of this site.

He deserved a perma ban because he's ignored every single warning he got, and now it finally bit him in the ass. I'm with DJ on this. I'm excited to be able to talk about music and not being constantly criticized for no reason.
