I'm sorting through 2016's pile of stressors, personal tragedies, and health issues and not coming up with much. I bought a new car for the first time ever a few months ago, I guess that's something.

After over six years of enduring high anxiety, nervous tics, and a variety of other unpleasantries, I finally took ownership of my health and looked up the side effects of my many medications and discovered that ten of my symptoms were actually side effects of the meds I take to function.
I worked with my doc to finally decrease some of the dosages and am already feeling much better. And as a nice bonus, I discovered last night that I am no longer lactose intolerant - it was just a side effect of a script. The other big accomplishment is that I followed through on my decision from my last long-term relationship to never let myself be emotionally, financially, and physically abused ever again. I endured it for six years with my ex and when the same circumstances became evident with my wife I put my foot down and insisted that she take measures to improve her poor mental health or that I would leave her. I'm happy to say that slowly but surely she is taking those steps and things are getting better. It's been a good year.

lol agree
it's been a pretty cool year for me I guess. moving out + starting university was pretty overwhelming at first but now here I am. I'm officially switching my degree from journalism to business marketing next year as well which I'm excited for. i also got my bilingual certification this year which I'm quite proud of.
