Virtuoso declares that they're the most talented musician. Member album of the year focuses only on this year and specific albums instead of the musician as a whole. Plus, virtuoso carries the weight of being technically proficient, so some people might vote for one person as virtuoso even if they like the music of another person more.

If you're worried about these two overlapping too much, let's take off Fangirl of the year and fold best media and music forum contributor into best forum contributor as well.
