Pubs vs Bars vs Nightclubs

What do you prefer Pubs, Bars or NightClubs? Maybe you like all of them? maybe you dislike all?

I personally prefer Pubs or Bars. I like to be able to (relax) sit down or play some pool while having a drink and maybe some food. Maybe it's because I've had bad experiences in Nightclubs, but I've never liked them.

So, what do you guys like better?

Pubs for sure. The more run down, dive-y, mangy bar the better. I love the hole in the wall places, you get the more real characters in and out the doors. Rather than Nightclubs where everything's too close together and you're rubbing shoulders with frat bro's trying tirelessly to get laid.

What's the difference between pubs and bars? I'm a homebody nowadays and don't go out as much.

I burned through the nightclub scene for four years straight and burned myself out.

Well, Pubs are normally bigger than Bars. Bars usually sell a bunch of different alcohol, and may sell small appetizers. Pubs on the other hand are almost like restaurants. They sell a bunch of different alcohol, and full meals. Of course, there is always the exception, And it may vary from country to country.

I'm horrible at explaining stuff. So, you may understand this better.

Thanks based off of that description. I'd probably prefer pubs.

Pubs for drinking, socializing, and an occasional meal.
Bars for drinking and socializing.
Clubs for live music.

Never been into an authentic English Pub, but I'll make sure to visit one when I travel to England.

I think pubs and bars are interchangeable here. cant think of any bar that doesn't have a full menu as well (that isn't a club).

I like them all, though I don't really go to clubs as much anymore. clubs are great to just get belligerently drunk at and be an idiot - which is my forte. pubs are for the chill nights.

Weird definitions. I've never been to a club with live music. Also, what Nine said.

Somewhere chill with good food, and a nice craft beer selection is my preference nowadays.
