You can put me down as a pub guy.
Occasionally I went to this unusual country pub, now sadly closed. It has an octagonal tower and a main bar that resembles a baronial hall. Rather incongruously, it was often full of bikers:- https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...fb1a213766.jpg http://m0.i.pbase.com/o5/32/439932/1...oFq6x.c194.jpg Unfortunately you needed a car (or bike) to get there, but these places were nearer to hand and more often had the honour of my custom: http://thelondonpubcrawlco.com/wp-co...Putney-001.jpg.....https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...e313dd149a.jpg |
Liking them pub pics.
This one is one of the better ones just by me in Aston - https://www.tripadvisor.com/Location...s_England.html http://thebartonsarms.com/wp-content...omebanner3.jpg http://thebartonsarms.com/wp-content...omebanner1.jpg I used to go to one with my dad and sister when we were kids (obviously didn't drink), had a pool table, tennis court, bowling green and snooker hall but they knocked it down :( |

When I get a chance I'm going to put up some more pub pics I hope! |
The Bartons still exists mate, it was another pub they knocked down. I would camp myself out the pub if they tried to knock this one down.

The Dog & Partridge was the best pub in Bolton, but some c*nt tried killing himself by driving into the wall. He failed in that attempt. It hasn't been reopened and it looks likely to remain that way.
http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/resou...e=article-full Ye Olde Man & Scythe is the current boozer of choice after the D&P was tragically put to an end. 4th oldest Pub in Britain, and a hub of paranormal activity. http://i.pbase.com/u29/ezz/large/175...Mandscythe.jpg I prefer pubs and probably clubs to bars. Bars need to make up their mind. |
I love them old Tudor buildings, they have a lot of charm.
This thread is now a 'show off your boozer' thread. Show them off lads. |
