Either use ellipses properly or don't.

I recently joined a FB group for people that lived in my old neighborhood just for the nostalgia and to see if I'd maybe run into any of my old childhood friends. A few days ago I posted something about a five and dime shop I used to go to with my grandma and holy moly people started coming out of the woodwork. Last night I got a reply from a lady that knew my mom and dad. I remembered her well and I also remember my parents getting a divorce and she was somehow involved. She said she thought of my parents a lot over the years and I showed her love and compassion to hopefully have some closure on everything that happened over 50 years ago and I think we both came away from this little experience with a sense of healing and compassion. Without SM, I really don't think this could have happened.

When I want to communicate with someone I do what any sane person would do. It's very easy to get a quill, dip it in some Indian ink, scribe out my message, roll up the paper, seal it with a ribbon and then impress my personal wax seal on it so that nobody can read it who ain't supposed to. Take that, hackers! Then I ties it to one of my carrier pigeons, say a quick prayer to the Great Pixie and let him go! If I'm lucky I'll probably get a rapid response - once I even heard back from the person in the same year!
Nah look, social media is great for some very important stuff, but without its existence all this disinformation and ****ing conspiracy theory bull**** would not have reached as many ears and eyes as it has, and a lot more people might still be alive. The world would be in a better place without it so basically **** social media. I'll never use it. tl;dr: social media = evil

I recently ran into people I played little league baseball with on Twitter. Doubt they remember me though.
